Dirty Dancing’ star Patrick Swayze has not let cancer treatment come in the way of enjoying life to the fullest.
Swayze and wife Lisa Niemi are busy moving back and forth between Los Angeles and their ranch in New Mexico.
“I took her jewellery shopping and [we] were able to find her something really special and much deserved,” he told a website.
All this while he is undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer.
“In the meantime, I am continuing treatment at Stanford [University Medical Center] and the great news is I continue to respond well,” says the 55-year-old actor who became popular in India with his role in the super-hit ‘Ghost’, co-starring Demi Moore.
Swayze was diagnosed with the cancer in January 2008. Since then, he’s being undergoing chemotherapy and other treatment. Apparently, the disease has not reached serious proportions. It is believed that Swayze’s smoking habit may have played a part in causing the cancer.
